“That’s not a knife. THIS is a knife!” by Doc Brown

So, now that I’ve had a few days off from writing, which is resultant from my new lady friend having a baby that doesn’t want me to sleep, I’m back. (Note: Baby isn’t mine. Don’t worry,  I have no offspring running rampant)

This is one article where I don’t want to name names, but it has recently come to my attention that there is one band who has been around for years that literally JUST started supporting and endorsing metal shows. This band thought they were better than everyone else and refused to support anyone.

Now that they’ve realized that being supported by local fans and bands is important, they’re scrambling to to try to gain what they never had. However in the process of trying to play catch up they’ve managed to alienate even more people by backing out of shows, deals, and agreements.

If you don’t know who I’m talking about by now, you just need to take a closer look at the Metal scene to know. Trust me, you’ll find out pretty quick which band it is.  When you tell someone you’re stuck out of town the day of a show that you promise to play, but are seen walking around town and at the mall, I call bullshit.

This is not a scene where respect is given. Respect is earned. If your ego gets out of check, we will eat you alive. Try acting like responsible human beings and honor what you promised.
